Our namesake meetup "Tech Lancaster Meetup" typically has two presentations surrounded by social time. Generally these presentations contain topics are designed to provide a 30,000 foot view of a technology with maybe a dip or two into some actual code.
If you're interested in a purely social meetup without presentations or structure, check out Pub Standards and Open Coffee Club. These are designed to be low pressure meetups that you can pop in or out of and meet other members of the community.

Lancaster Linux Users Group (LancLUG) is a meetup built around Free and Open Source software and technology. We welcome attendees of all skill levels and backgrounds. There are no membership dues, but we do ask that you bring questions, ideas, and curiosity.

Pub Standards

Pub Standards Lancaster is a meetup of developers, designers, founders and people-who-like-to-build-stuff in central Pennsylvania. Pub Standards is open to everyone. It's loosely aimed at web design & development geeks, but that doesn't mean chitchat need necessarily be work-related. Don't expect structure, don't expect presentations, just relax with likeminded people and a few beers.
